Santander Universities SME Internships and Work Placements

Description

The Santander Placement and Internship Programme is open to final year students and recent graduates from City University London.  The programme works with SMEs (Small & Medium Enterprises) with less than 250 employees and is designed to help these growing start-ups and SME companies recruit talented students from City. The internships are offered either full-time over 3 months or part-time (20 hours per week over 20 weeks) depending on the requirements of the role and SME.

In 2015, we had students from a number of courses across various schools successfully obtain internships with really dynamic, interesting and successful companies.

Some of our success stories on this programme are:

  • Ghazzala (BA Journalism) worked as a Social Media Intern at a digital firm in Soho and continues to work with them on a freelance basis.
  • Shahryor (BSc Accounting & Finance) worked as a Finance Assistant with a property investment firm and continues to work part-time and he was also offered a part-time role with another company based on his success at RHC.
  • Ridley (Law) continues to work part-time with a specialist legal frim in the music industry.
  • Theo (Media and Communications) was offered a role at Cycl which was a company started by City Alumni and City Spark winner Luca.
  • Touriocity, a travel technology company that continue to recruit for year, have offered a role to Elisa (Investment and Financial Risk Management) working with their Chinese market.
