Bayes Business School Professional Placement Programme

Description

A placement year is a great opportunity to develop professional skills and complete your university degree with one year’s professional work experience. It will greatly enhance your employability, help you develop key personal, transferable and professional skills, as well as prepare you for the competitive graduate market that lies ahead.

The work placement programme is a recognised part of your degree, and is endorsed on your final degree certificate. It is taken during your 3rd year, giving you the opportunity to add a valuable additional year to your degree, working for a professional organisation either in the UK or abroad.

Companies who have previously recruited our students with a work placement include:  Accenture, Aon, Aviva, AXA Investment Managers, British Airways, Brown Brothers Harriman, Deloitte, EY, Goldman Sachs, Grant Thornton, GSK, IBM, Lloyds Banking Group, L’Oreal, Marsh, Mercer, Pfizer, Prudential, PwC, UBS, UNICEF, Walt Disney, Warner Bros.

Summer Internships: This is a 4 – 12 week work experience which you take at the end of your 2nd Year. These are extremely competitive, more so than the placement year, however, it is a good opportunity for you to gain an insight into the professional working environment. If you choose this option, and complete the internship, and meet the necessary summer internship requirements, you will be provided with a signed Summer Internship Certificate.

Work placements and summer internships are not guaranteed, and you will be expected to go through and experience the company’s normal recruitment process.  However, our dedicated placement team will be on hand to advise and support you through the process during the 2nd Year of your degree.
