Benefits to getting involved

This is a great chance to gain practical experience for your CV and improve your skills – all whilst earning money and making new friends. Work is flexible and can fit around your studies and the payrate is currently £9.20 per hour (including holiday pay).

When does it take place?

Student Ambassadors choose their hours – there is no minimum or maximum number of hours that must be worked. Shifts are usually allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. However, studies and timetabled lecture time take priority – we advise for students to sign up to shifts only when they have free time to do so.

Where does it take place?

Marketing and university wide events take place on City’s main campus (Northampton Square). There are also many opportunities to travel around London and the country to attend recruitment events off-site (like UCAS and HE Fairs).

Who can apply?

Any undergraduate or postgraduate City student eligible to work in the UK.
